Alexys Story:

Alexys began dancing at Langley Dance Academy at the age of 3 in Miss Lana’s Sweet Peas class! She started with ballet and gradually added more genres, quickly discovering her passion for tap and musical theatre.

Today, Alexys trains in tap, musical theatre, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, ballet, and hip hop. She has received numerous awards and scholarships across multiple genres and has been recognized for her outstanding student choreography.

Alexys is excited to share her love of dance with the next generation. She aims to provide a safe, supportive space where every dancer can grow in confidence, creativity, and technique—and hopes to ignite the same lifelong love of dance that she found at LDA.

Love for Miss Alexys:

“I am writing to pass on some truly positive and enthusiastic feedback regarding Ms. Alexys, who teaches tap dance to my son, Bowen. I know how hard it is to take on such an important role at such a young age and I want to make sure she knows we see all she does.

I want to emphasize how absolutely amazing she is with the children in her class. It is clear that she possesses a level of skill and maturity in instruction that is not often seen, even in many experienced adults. She has an innate gift for teaching and connecting with young students.

Ms. Alexys has created the most incredible and inspiring experience for Bowen. He looks forward to her class every week, and the enthusiasm she brings is infectious. She has fostered an environment where he is not just learning steps, but truly enjoying and engaging with the art form.

She has a remarkable talent and truly needs to be recognized for the exceptional work she is doing. Teachers like Ms. Alexys are treasures, and we feel very fortunate that Bowen is learning from her.

Thank you for providing such a dedicated and gifted instructor.”
