Company Program

COMPETITIVE DANCE COMPANIES

The Company program allows our dancers to fully submerse into a competitive dance environment.

If your child was invited into our Company Dance Program it is because they showed enthusiasm, focus, and skill development in their ballet or jazz class last season.

Our Company Program is a committed dance program open to dancers between the ages of 5 and 18 who exhibit a higher level of skill and who are serious about their training and performing.

This program requires a minimum of 6 hours of training a week, including Ballet, Jazz, Rehearsal and optional Tap, Broadway, Contemporary, and Hip Hop Training.

In addition to the Company Program, LDA provides various competitive dance classes to dancers who love to perform and compete in a positive and fun environment. These classes are geared towards children who love the competition life, but may be uncertain about a full time commitment to our Company Program.

These classes also require an audition in the discipline they will be competing under.

COMPANY REQUIREMENTS

A background in dance is required with several years experience in both Ballet and Jazz; additional styles are considered an asset. LDA has many different levels of programs and students will be fit into a group at the discretion of our faculty only. Our basic requirement for a student entering a Competitive Program is that they take Ballet, Jazz Technique and Jazz Choreography. Other genres of dance get added as the level/age increases.
